Diana, I have a comment on 1 indicator...when there is a moment

The district track attendance though correct?

I would be glad to participate in a further discussion on this - some type of “attendance” indicator is important and doable

And at the high school level, teachers track attendance

Please do not tie this to academic measures

we discussed this in our subcommittee

That data can be tracked with the support from school nurses, school psychologists, etc.

attendance can be interpreted differently than seat time

And that makes sense your comments sounded as though you weren't going to even try to track attendance

"Seat Time" is a broad term. Maybe develop different terminology/definition for what we are truly measuring. It does all come down to student success.

I just hope that you and other take into account the work and recommendations of the subcommittees rather than re-write the path forward during implementation. I am concerned with this, and the comments around academic measures

Jon, yes, but trying to make distinction between attendance and seat time. The evaluation plan has both.

Dr. Visher - have you had an opportunity to discuss this with the Superintendents during one of their monthly meetings?

I think we can really push this in light of a return to instruction following COVID

Jon -- I'm not sure we have been in one of those meetings. I will check, but I'm sure my staff would welcome an invitation.

Jon and Dr. Visher, this would be a great opportunity to communicate value of YRBS...

Susan - Perhaps we could work with the Chiefs to get the YRBS on an agenda in the next few months.

Dr. Visher, Please know that School Nurses can support and initiate a "push" for the surveys to be administered and completed as well!

Families/Caregivers may need education around the value of the YRBS as well. It's an opportunity to engage families/caregivers as well

I think that caregivers of youth served and the youth served are partners in the evaluation

It is great to see how everything has come together thanks to the hard work of everyone involved!
