2 dumb questions: I am assuming that the HS School based wellness centers are structurally internal to the school - no separate entrance or door to the outside?

15:09
Second dumb question: I am assuming that all SBWCs are closed during the pandemic?

15:41
We were providing telehealth during the shut down. We’ve been back in the school since mid August seeing kids

16:05
Thank you

20:32
do some DE high schools or districts currently restrict certain reproductive services?

23:40
brb

34:49
Is that state law?

35:05
please that needs to change if we can accomplish anything with this group. no one should be able to vote away sevicrs

36:56
which current programs are after school?

38:05
For elementary schools, in order to include parents in the service delivery, there would need to be some evening hours.

38:52
I would recommend 12 months per year, six days per week, 7:30am to 6pm to allow for siblings and guardians

39:15
All Bayhealth Wellness Centers are 10 months with limited summer hours. There are many times during the summer that we cant get into the school due to summer school, cleaning projects, improvement, etc

39:29
I think we need to determine the target population first....

39:30
agree facility would need hrs outside of school hrs as well as 12 month service if family would be included as those services

40:12
I believe that a SBWC should be inclusive, all three grade levels. The community should be included especially if you want their by-in. If you wanted to have some SBWC 12months then allow students who belong to the center to go to the closest center during the off months.

41:56
To me best practices would be 12 months, with some flexibiltiy for 10 months models. I would recommend sibling and parental/guardian be included in service provisions

42:21
12mo extended hours, family included

42:33
I agree with Joanna. Schools deep clean during the summer. I think the hours would depend upon the age of the students. Elementary probably should include evening hours due to the age of the client. High School not so much.

42:35
I agree with Forrest.

42:36
12 months and extended hours beyond the school day; also feel family should be included

42:50
even for our primary care network for Nemours we have a hub model for weekend hours. hub model could work well for evening or weekend for schools

43:01
I think the best practice would be 12 months availability with flexibility in hours of operation. Families should be included.

43:56
Yes

44:00
yes

45:52
vision, hearing

45:54
I think the model should include dental and vision minimally

45:57
Optometry

46:18
Optometry most definitely.

46:48
Liaison with the DE Child Psychiatry Access Program to offer consultation to the CRNP for psych meds

47:03
agreed

49:36
Our experience shows that mental health demand is pretty constant throughout economic or insurance status

52:07
We refer to Psych, but we have primary care providers that provide medication support. I

52:11
it is a five year grant for DE psych consultation so sustainability not set

52:24
Thanks Dr. Weisman

52:31
Yes Cassandra is right

52:35
about 3.5

53:49
my apologies but I have to jump off a few min early and make a call before my 2pm. have a nice afternoon everyone

53:50
That’s pretty tricky for data collection purposes

58:41
yes, we are competing against each other at times e way contracts are designed and data is collected. parents often will only seek us for emergent visits and have not seen us for years due to physical billed and done at HS wellness center

01:04:19
Thank you. Have a great weekend.
